From Yangon to Bagan discover  and explore the Mount Popa then take a fly to Heho to enjoy a wonderful trip on the  Inle Lake and its suroundings and ends with Sittwe and Mrauk U, this trip offers you Myanmar famous , world wonder pagodas, stupas and ruins as well as its rich cultures and colour full hill tribes living from mountains, hills, lakes and rivers. 

Day 1: Welcome to Yangon | Meal: D | Overnight: Yangon

Warm welcome upon your  arrival in Yangon, the main gateway to the rest of Myanmar. Your guide meets  you at the airport for a transfer to your hotel. Free. At leisure. Evening you meet your guide again for welcome dinner at local restaurant.

Day 2 Yangon full-day tour | Meal: B - L | Overnight: Yangon

In the morning you visit the 2200-year-old  Sule temple stands in the heart of the city and Shwedagon pagoda, one of the wonders of the world, built 2500 years ago. Enjoy breathtaking views of the golden stupa from this vantage point. Continue exploring the city passing the downtown highlights and walk along Strand Road to admire British old colonial buildings. Afternoon you visit the Chaukhtatgyi Pagoda, one of Myanmar’s more beautiful reclining Buddha and the Shwedagon Pagoda, one of the wonders of the world, built 2500 years ago. Enjoy breathtaking views of the golden stupa from this vantage point.

Day 3: Fly to Bagan | Meal: B - D | Overnight: Bagan

Today you fly to Bagan. Upon arrival you visit the Shwezigone pagoda, home to the Frontlet Relic of Buddha followed by the Gubyaukgyi temple and the Htilominlo Pagoda, one of the largest temples of Bagan.  Continue exploring Bagan with the Ananda Okkyaung monastery followed by the Bagan’s most massive shrine Dhammayangyi Pagoda and the Bagan’s tallest Thatbyinnyu pagoda and the unique sandstone monument Nanpaya temple. Enjoy the breathtaking sunset from Shwesandaw Pagoda and dinner at local restaurant.

Day 4: Bagan | Meal: B - L | Overnight: Bagan

Bagan was also the capital of the first Myanmar Empire and is one of the richest archaeological sites in Asia with more than 2,000 well-preserved pagodas and temples dating from the 11th through 13th centuries.  In the morning you drive to visit the Hindu Nathlaung Kyaungtemple , the  Myazedi Pagoda and the Nagayon pagodabuilt in the 11thcentury. Lunch at a local restaurant.  Afternoon you visit  the Manual Temple – oldest temple in Bagan then back to hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 5: Salay village & Mount Popa excursion | Meal: B - L | Overnight: Bagan

Today you have an excursion to visit Salay and Mount Popa. Stop at the local market Chauk on the way to the village of Salay. Salay is an important Buddhist centre with its famed wooden monastery with intricate carvings. Continue to Mt Popa, 1518 meters high from sea level which plays an important role in Myanmar culture, religion and history since earliest times. Its shrine is dedicated to the worship of the 37 Nats, the Burmese ancient animist spirits. Back to Bagan. At leisure.

Day 6: Fly to Heho – Inle Lake | Meal: B - D | Overnight: Inle Lake

Today you leave Bagan for Heho by plane then to Inle Lake, the 2nd largest lake in Myanmar, 22 kilometers long and 11 kilometer wide located in the Shan state. Upon arrival you have a one-hour drive to Nyaung Shwe, the gateway village to Inle Lake. Visit the wooden Shwe Yan Pyay Monastery an join in the local colorful market.  Take a motorboat cruising on the Inle Lake.  Visit the Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda with its 800-years-old Buddha statues and the Nga Phe Chaung ancient monastery. Continue to the weaving village of Inpawkhone and the Burmese cigars factory before ending at your hotel. Dinner and enjoy your time at the lake.

Day 7: Kakku Excursion | Meal: B - L | Overnight: Inle Lake

In the morning you drive toward the east of the lake passing villages of the Pa-Oh people. Kakku covers an area of one square kilometer and contains more than 2500 stupas to represent the Buddha’s footprint. Join in the local Taunggyi market and get in touch with vendors who come here by the early morning train with their home-made produces. Meet your local  Pa-Oh guide to explore some temples and nearby villages. Lunch at a local restaurant before driving back to the Inle Lake. Rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 8: Floating market - In Dein – Fly to Yangon | Meal: B | Overnight: Yangon

In the morning you have a boat trip to join in the rotation floating market and get in touch with the colorful hill tribes.  It is a good chance to see different ethnic communities such as Danu, Pa O and Palang  to sell their products. Continue travelling down a small canal to Indein to the villages of the ethnic Padaung (“long neck women”).  A short walk to discover the magnificent complex of Alaung Sithu of ancient stupas buried in vegetation. Transfer to Heho airport for fly back to Yangon. Free. At leisure.

Day 9: Fly to Sittwe | Meal: B – D | Overnight: Sittwe

Today you fly Sittwe, the capital of Rakhine State after the first Anglo-Burmese war in 1826 and the gate way to Mrauk U, an ancient capital city in the 15th century. Meet you local guide for a hotel transfer.  Free. At leisure. Or  you can walk along the strand road, enjoy local activities along the dock yards and the  sunset over the Bay of Bengal.  Meet your guide again for dinner at local restaurant.

Day 10: Sittwe – Mrauk U | Meal: B – D | Overnight: Mrauk U

Early wake-up to join the Sittwe’s fish market then you have a 5-6 hour boat trip along the Kaladan river to Mrauk U. Afternoon your visit the Koethaung temple: the “shrine of the 90,000 images of the Buddha” and was the most important religious shrines of the medieval Mrauk U period.  Continue to visit the Mrauk U’s most important monument Shitthaung temple which contains a remarkable collection of 80,000 Arakanese Buddha images and reliefs and the fortress-like temple of Dukkhanthein.  Dinner at local restaurant in the evening.

Day 11: Chin villages excursion| Meal: B – L | Overnight: Mrauk U

This morning you have a scenic journey on a bumpy road then by boat up along the Lay Mro River to the Lay Too villages of the Chin minorities people who is well-known for their colorful fabrics, as well as women with tattooed faces.  After picnic lunch at one of the Chin minority people’ house you return back to Mrauk U by boat. Rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 12: Mrauk U - Sittwe| Meal: B | Overnight: Sittwe

Again you have a 5-6 hour boat trip along the Kaladan river back to Sittwe.  Enjoy the scenery of the confluence of Kaladan River and the Bay of Bengal at “View Point”. The local market along the way is also an interesting stop. Hotel check-in and enjoy your free time.

Day 13: Fly to Yangon | Meal: B | Overnight: Yangon

You have free time until transfer to airport for flight to Yangon.  After a transfer from airport to hotel you are free time at leisure or visit the Lawka Chanthar, the world’s biggest marble Buddha. You may like to visit Kandawgyi Lake and surrounding areas, which offer numerous photo opportunities or the famous MK gems shop selling high quality gems.

Day 14: Departure Yangon | Meal: B

Today is the last day of your trip. Enjoy your free time at your hotel or you can do your last minute souvenir shopping before transfer to airport for your flight home. Have a good journey and thanks for joining us.
