Today you leave Hanoi for Pu Luong Nature Reserve by road via a breathtaking mountain pass giving you a panoramic view of the whole valley. Check-in. Lunch at the beautiful retreat. In the afternoon you have a transfer to a suspension bridge over the Cham River, where you begin your walk in search of stunning water wheels. Upon arrival a local fisherman’s house, you have a short rest to gear up for the rafting adventure. Float along the calm river and enjoy the views, in between learning how to paddle and steer your handcrafted rafts. Disembark at the Tan Lap Bridge and join your car back to Pu Luong Retreat for dinner. Start early to descend into the beautiful valley facing the Retreat where you walk around tumbling rice terraces. Trek through small paths shrouded in vegetation to slowly reveal a picturesque village sitting at the base of a towering mountain. Continuing to the base of the valley, you weave between roads and farmland, villages and wild fields, ponds and rivers, mountains and open land. Savour the ever-changing scenery as you trek to a beautiful spot. Then you have a transfer back to Puluong Retreat for lunch. Rest of the day at leisure. In the morning you drive to visit Cu Chi Tunnels. Very famous in the wartime with its smart and complicated system including underground meeting room, kitchen, food, weapon caches, hospital. This underground complex is a must-see when you are in HCMC. You are invited to crawl around in the safer parts of the tunnel system or try a shooting range where you can fire a number of assault rifles, such as the M16 rifle or AK-47, as well as a light machine gun like the M60.
