Beginning with Yangon, the main gateway to the rest of Myanmar and its mighty Shwedagon Pagoda, you also have a chance to visit Bago, the former capital of the Mon Kingdom in the 15th century and especially Golden Rock, one of the three most sacred religious sites in Myanmar and enjoy the panoramic 360 degree views of the surrounding Mon State mountains from the summit.

Day 1: Welcome to Yangon | Meal: D | Overnight: Yangon

Warm welcome upon your  arrival in Yangon, the main gateway to the rest of Myanmar. Your guide meets  you at the airport for a transfer to your hotel. Free. At leisure. Evening you meet your guide again for welcome dinner at local restaurant.

Day 2: Yangon – Bago – Golden Rock | Meal: B - D | Overnight: Golden Rock

Today you drive to the Golden Rock in the Mount Kyaiktiyo.  Stop in Bago, also known as Pegu, the former capital of the Mon Kingdom in the 15th century to visit the Kyat Kha Wine monastery and the 55-metre long reclining Shwethalyaung Buddha.  Continue driving  to the Kyaikhtiyo base camp to take an open-air truck along a winding road to the truck station before you have a short walk to reach the Golden Rock, one of the three most sacred religious sites in Myanmar. Enjoy the panoramic 360 degree views of the surrounding Mon State mountains from the summit.

Day 3: Golden Rock – Yangon | Meal: B - D | Overnight: Yangon

Again the open-air truck transfer you to the base camp to rejoin your car back to Yangon. Afternoon is time to explore the Yangon including Bogyoke Market, formerly known as Scott’s market which is famous for its wide selection of Myanmar handicrafts.  Continue to the Chaukhtatgyi Pagoda, one of Myanmar’s more beautiful reclining buddhas. The last stop of the day is the Shwedagon Pagoda, one of the wonders of the world, built 2,500 years ago. Enjoy breathtaking views of the golden stupa from this vantage point.

Day 4: Departure Yangon | Meal: B

Today is the last day of your trip. Enjoy your free time at your hotel or you can do your last minute souvenir shopping before transfer to airport for your flight home. Have a good journey and thanks for joining us.
